IT Support Technician

1 open position

IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

Hospitality Technology • Multi-Site Operations • AI-Forward
Aspire Digital Group — Albany, WA

Aspire Digital Group is an innovation-driven company operating at the intersection of AI, fintech, e-commerce, and digital media. Our core platforms — Zinga, Alby Marketplace, and Goldroom — are building a connected ecosystem to transform the way businesses and communities interact with technology. With cross-border operations spanning Australia and Thailand, we are a fast-moving, collaborative team that puts innovation at the centre of everything we do.

We are seeking a hands-on, technically excellent IT Support Technician to join our team in Albany, WA. This is a high-impact, mobile role — not a desk job — that requires someone who can move fluidly between multiple venues and organisations, managing live technology infrastructure, troubleshooting on the spot, and contributing to the ongoing development and rollout of our proprietary hospitality platforms.

This position is based in Albany, WA. It is not a remote role.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The IT Support Technician serves as the primary technical custodian for Aspire's internal venues and external client portfolio. You will be responsible for ensuring maximum uptime for all hospitality technology systems, managing the lifecycle of our proprietary products, and supporting business growth through technical excellence and stakeholder engagement. You will work across multiple venues and organisations simultaneously — strong multitasking, organisation, and communication skills are essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Onsite Technical Operations

  • Provide hands-on, immediate technical support across all venue technology including POS systems, EFTPOS terminals, printers, and networking infrastructure.
  • Act as the subject matter expert and primary technician for Aspire's proprietary platforms: Zinga, Alby, ZngX, and related hospitality software.
  • Manage digital signage, advertising displays, and audio-visual systems including Goldroom content and hardware.
  • Oversee venue Wi-Fi, CCTV systems, and back-of-house hardware infrastructure.
  • Provide technical support across multiple organisations and venues simultaneously — coordinating priorities and managing multiple open tasks at any one time.

Product Management & Rollout

  • Actively participate in testing and iterative improvement of software and hardware products based on real-world field performance.
  • Lead end-to-end installation and commissioning of technology packages for new internal and external venue sites.
  • Conduct technical demonstrations for prospective clients and deliver staff training sessions to drive product adoption.

Systems & Data

  • Collaborate with the Operations team to build and maintain a Facilities Management and Plants & Equipment database within Odoo.
  • Manage the Odoo Support Ticketing System to ensure all requests are tracked, assigned, and resolved with full accountability.
  • Generate monthly reporting on equipment failure rates, maintenance trends, and system performance.

Business Development & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Engage directly with venue owners and managers to identify technical pain points and propose solutions.
  • Liaise with hardware vendors, software providers, and trades contractors to coordinate projects and procurement.
  • Support the onboarding of new external clients through technical site assessments and validation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an IT support, systems technician, or similar hands-on technical role.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask across multiple organisations, venues, or clients simultaneously — this is a must!
  • Strong, practical AI knowledge — must be proficient and actively using AI tools such as Claude (Anthropic), Gemini (Google), ChatGPT (OpenAI), or equivalent in day-to-day technical and operational work.
  • Experience with POS systems, EFTPOS terminals, networking (Wi-Fi, LAN), and AV systems.
  • Familiarity with Odoo or similar ERP/ticketing platforms is highly regarded.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve issues quickly under service pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills — able to translate technical issues clearly for non-technical venue staff and managers.
  • Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle — this role requires travel between venues in and around Albany.
  • Must be based in Albany, WA or willing to relocate — this is not a remote position.
  • Current Police Check or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  • System uptime: 99.9% for critical POS and EFTPOS systems during service hours.
  • Ticket resolution: SLA targets met for all support tickets within the Odoo system.
  • Database accuracy: Plants & Equipment database maintained at 100% accuracy across all venues.
  • Project delivery: New technology installations completed on time and within budget.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • A varied, hands-on role with real impact across a growing hospitality and technology group.
  • Exposure to proprietary product development and the opportunity to shape how technology is used across multiple venues.
  • A collaborative team environment with cross-functional exposure to digital, operations, and business development.
  • Competitive salary negotiable based on skills and experience.
  • Opportunities for growth within the Aspire Digital Group.

HOW TO APPLY

Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your technical experience and why you are the right fit for this role to hr@aspiredigitalgroup.com.au. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
