We are seeking a Chief Operating Officer to oversee the development, integration, and commercialisation of AI products and R&D strategies across the Aspire Digital Group. This is a senior strategic leadership position offering significant growth opportunities for the right candidate committed to building long-term value across a multi-platform digital ecosystem. 


Salary: $183,100 + superannuation 

Employment: Full-Time 

Location: Flexible — Australia or Thailand with cross-border team management 

VISA: Sponsorship available for the right candidate 


AI Literacy Requirement 

All candidates must demonstrate comfort and practical experience working with AI tools and productivity platforms. This includes — but is not limited to — large language models such as Claude (Anthropic), Gemini (Google), and ChatGPT (OpenAI), as well as AI-assisted workflows for research, content drafting, data analysis, and process automation. Aspire Digital Group operates in an AI-first environment and expects all team members to embrace and leverage these tools as part of their daily work.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the strategic direction of AI and R&D initiatives across all Aspire Digital platforms.
  • Lead operational planning, budgeting, and execution across cross-functional teams.
  • Oversee product development cycles from ideation through to launch and ongoing performance optimisation.
  • Manage partnerships with technology providers, research institutions, and government innovation agencies.
  • Design and implement operational systems to scale digital products including AI tools, payment infrastructure, and content platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with international data governance, AI ethics, and applicable regulatory frameworks.
  • Mentor and develop department heads across engineering, product, marketing, and customer success.
  • Collaborate with the Director and relevant departments to set innovation KPIs, operational efficiency targets, and monetisation strategies.
  • Support go-to-market planning for R&D-driven features including agentic AI, automation tools, and digital transformation services.
  • Monitor financial performance and resource allocation across projects and business units.
  • Champion AI-first workflows and tools across the organisation, driving adoption of productivity platforms including Claude, Gemini, and related AI systems.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum five years’ proven experience in a senior executive, COO, CTO, or Head of Product role within a technology or digital innovation environment.
  • Deep, practical understanding of AI technologies — including large language models, agentic AI, and automation frameworks — and their application in commercial settings.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with AI tools such as Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, or equivalent, and the ability to drive organisation-wide AI adoption.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture, cloud computing, and data security principles.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills with demonstrated ability to scale new ventures.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks, IP protection, and grant or reporting requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and experience managing cross-cultural international teams.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in technology, business, or innovation are highly regarded.
