The Compliance Manager will be responsible for overseeing, implementing, and monitoring the company’s regulatory compliance programs, with a primary focus on financial services, payment regulations, and anti-money laundering obligations across ADG’s operations. This is a critical, senior role requiring expert knowledge of Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) requirements, PCI DSS, AML/CTF frameworks, and regional regulatory standards as they relate to non-cash payments, FX contracts, and digital financial transactions.

AI Literacy Requirement
All candidates must demonstrate comfort and practical experience working with AI tools and productivity platforms. This includes — but is not limited to — large language models such as Claude (Anthropic), Gemini (Google), and ChatGPT (OpenAI), as well as AI-assisted workflows for research, content drafting, data analysis, and process automation. Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance & Licensing (AFSL)- Act as a key compliance point of contact, ensuring all non-cash payment and financial product distribution activities adhere to ADG’s AFSL obligations, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor and maintain the compliance framework for all FX contracts, derivative dealings, and foreign currency activities.
- Track legislative and regulatory changes across relevant jurisdictions (Australia, Asia-Pacific, and key operating markets) and translate changes into actionable internal policy updates and training.
- Ensure all payment processing activities — including EFTs and digital wallet transactions — comply with relevant consumer protection and payment services regulations.
AML / CTF Program Management- Implement and manage the global AML/CTF program including KYC, CDD, EDD, and ongoing transaction monitoring.
- Oversee timely identification, investigation, and submission of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) or STRs to AUSTRAC and other relevant bodies.
- Conduct regular ML/TF risk assessments of new products, services, and business lines.
Data Security & Payments Compliance (PCI DSS)- Drive maintenance and renewal of PCI DSS certification by coordinating annual audits, monitoring internal controls, and ensuring all cardholder data environments meet the standard’s requirements.
- Ensure compliance with the Thai PDPA and other applicable global data privacy standards as they intersect with payment and financial data processing.
Policy, Training & Reporting- Draft, review, and maintain all compliance policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks.
- Develop and deliver mandatory compliance training modules covering AML/CTF, PCI DSS, and Code of Conduct to relevant staff in Finance, Operations, and Technology.
- Prepare accurate, timely, and comprehensive compliance reports for senior management, the Board, and regulatory bodies.
- Utilise AI tools including Claude, Gemini, and equivalent platforms to support compliance research, policy drafting, and regulatory tracking workflows.
Qualifications and Requirements
Essential- Minimum five years’ dedicated experience in a compliance role within the Financial Services, Fintech, or Payments industry.
- In-depth, demonstrable knowledge of Australian financial regulations, specifically AFSL and non-cash payment (NCP) requirements.
- Expert-level understanding of AML/CTF programs and practical experience managing obligations under AUSTRAC or a comparable regime.
- Proven experience coordinating PCI DSS compliance at Level 1 or 2.
- Demonstrated comfort with AI productivity tools for regulatory research, documentation, and process management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Desirable- Experience with regulatory compliance in Asia-Pacific jurisdictions (MAS, Bank of Thailand, BSP).
- Certification in compliance: CAMS, PCI ISA/QSA, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with digital currency, crypto, or blockchain compliance.
- Experience in a remote-first organisation with demonstrated self-management and digital communication skills.
Flexible Working Arrangements
- This role is fully remote, allowing the Compliance Manager/RM to work from anywhere in Australia(21).
- The work schedule (part-time hours vs. full-time) is negotiable based on the candidate’s preference and the agreed-upon frequency of compliance oversight required by the compan(22).
