We are seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to lead our cross-functional engineering teams, guide technical strategy, and drive R&D innovation across AI, automation, and scalable platform architecture. This role is central to delivering our product roadmap and includes long-term leadership and partnership potential for the right candidate. 


Salary: $183,100 + superannuation 

Employment: Full-Time 

Location: Flexible — Perth/Thailand with cross-border team management 

VISA: Sponsorship available for the right candidate 



AI Literacy Requirement 

All candidates must demonstrate comfort and practical experience working with AI tools and productivity platforms. This includes — but is not limited to — large language models such as Claude (Anthropic), Gemini (Google), and ChatGPT (OpenAI), as well as AI-assisted workflows for research, content drafting, data analysis, and process automation. Aspire Digital Group operates in an AI-first environment and expects all team members to embrace and leverage these tools as part of their daily work.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee software development across multiple product teams: Zinga, Alby Marketplace, and Goldroom.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical architecture.
  • Lead and manage teams of full-stack developers, DevOps engineers, QA testers, and UI/UX specialists.
  • Own the R&D pipeline for AI tools and integrations, including agentic AI, LLM-powered features, and data-driven automation.
  • Collaborate closely with the CTO, CPO, and COO on platform vision, innovation strategy, and commercial roadmap.
  • Implement best practices in agile delivery, CI/CD, testing, and DevSecOps across all teams.
  • Manage system security, compliance, and performance for multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
  • Partner with external vendors, advisors, and research institutions to enhance R&D outcomes.
  • Monitor team productivity, code quality, and deliverables across development cycles.
  • Mentor and grow engineering talent with a focus on innovation, problem-solving, and AI-first thinking.
  • Prepare technical documentation, infrastructure plans, and API frameworks to support platform scalability.
  • Drive AI tool adoption across the engineering team, including the integration of Claude, Gemini, and Copilot into development workflows.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 5–7 years’ professional experience in full-stack software development.
  • At least three years in a technical leadership or software management position.
  • Strong expertise in modern frameworks and languages: React, Vue, Node.js, Python, Django, and Laravel.
  • Demonstrated experience with AI integration, automation tools, LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini), or machine learning frameworks.
  • Hands-on familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or equivalent) and the ability to drive team-wide adoption.
  • Proficiency with containerisation, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), GitHub workflows, and DevOps tooling.
  • Background in agile delivery, product iteration, and technical documentation.
  • Strong understanding of system architecture, API security, and data governance.
  • Excellent team leadership, cross-functional communication, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is highly regarded.
