Aspire Digital Group is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to also serve as a Responsible Manager (RM) named on our Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL). This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity, compliance, and governance framework of the company, with a specific focus on Non-Cash Payment (NCP) facilities and Foreign Exchange (FX) Contracts (excluding retail margin FX). The RM will be jointly and severally responsible with the Board for ensuring the business complies with its obligations under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth), ASIC regulations, and the specific authorisations of the AFSL.
This role can be structured as a part-time arrangement (minimum agreed hours per week) or full-time, depending on the candidate’s availability and business requirements. Salary starts at $135,000 based on skills and experience.

AI Literacy Requirement
All candidates must demonstrate comfort and practical experience working with AI tools and productivity platforms. This includes — but is not limited to — large language models such as Claude (Anthropic), Gemini (Google), and ChatGPT (OpenAI), as well as AI-assisted workflows for research, content drafting, data analysis, and process automation. Key Responsibilities
AFSL Responsible Manager & Compliance Oversight- Ensure the AFSL Holder continuously complies with all licensing conditions, obligations under Chapter 7 of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth), and ASIC policy.
- Act as the primary point of contact and liaison for ASIC on compliance matters, inquiries, and breach reporting.
- Review and approve client communications, marketing materials, and disclosure documents including Financial Services Guides (FSGs) and Product Disclosure Statements (PDSs).
- Maintain and update the company’s Compliance Plan, Breach Register, and Conflicts of Interest Register.
- Provide regular formal compliance reports to the Board, detailing compliance metrics, identified risks, and remediation actions.
Core Authorisation Management (NCP & FX)- Oversee the operational and regulatory compliance framework for Non-Cash Payment facilities.
- Ensure all wholesale and corporate FX contract dealings are conducted within regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure adequate financial, technological, and human resources are maintained to support authorised services and manage business risks.
Risk, Training & Supervision- Oversee ongoing monitoring of AML/CTF obligations relevant to the financial services provided.
- Review and approve internal training materials to ensure all relevant representatives and staff meet required competence standards.
- Effectively manage all oversight responsibilities in a remote setting, maintaining proactive communication with the Board and compliance team.
- Leverage AI tools including Claude, Gemini, and equivalent platforms to support regulatory research, document drafting, and compliance monitoring workflows.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Must satisfy ASIC Responsible Manager knowledge and skills requirements for the AFSL authorisations covering Non-Cash Payments and FX Contracts.
- Demonstrable, recent experience (within the last five years) working as a Responsible Manager, Key Person, or Senior Compliance Officer with an AFSL holder providing NCP and/or FX services.
- Thorough working knowledge of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth), ASIC Regulatory Guides (including RG 104 and RG 209), and FMA policies.
- Strong understanding of AML/CTF obligations within the context of payment and FX services.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical business procedures.
- Demonstrated comfort using AI productivity tools for regulatory research, policy development, and compliance documentation.
